Awesome trails and camping spots
Great campground and great staff! I've been going here for 45 years! Lots of hiking trails!
We love to camp here! Quiet and in one of our favorite forrests!
Great place to camp and have a good time with family & friends! Beautiful scene and the sites are a very good size for an RV , camper, or just to pitch a tent! 10/10 would recommend to anyone!
I would have given it a solid five stars but in the past year, a lot of trees have been removed due to the emerald ash bore. It's still a very pretty camping area! It sits back in the woods and each camp site has a fire ring with adjustable grill top and a picnic table. The sites are decent sized, some bigger. The roads are paved and there is one street light at the east end of the campground. 2 restrooms at the east end and they ate pit toilets...pretty gnarly in warm weather so he your breath! Long, basin type sink outside the main restroom is usable only in spring, summer and fall. The knob is removed in the winter so there is no running water. The area is kept clean and tidy! There is a full playground adjacent to the campground, in other words it's not IN the campground and you cannot see it from the campsites except for 3 of them. The state forest has fantastic trails for all skill levels, 2 small lakes for fishing and beautiful THICK forest. Not nearly as crowded as Brown County or Monroe..but can get full in peak camping and hunting months. Inexpensive at $13 per night ( current as of 2-2018) and ALL campsites are primitive..no electricity or water.
