After putting in applications, we saw a different place online he had listed, and he was more than willing to schedule another tour for our group. He was always prompt in responses. I appreciated that Mike isn't trying to hide things or buttering us up to get a lease. I work for a property management company, so I understand a little of both sides when I'm renting, and a lot of the work he's done for us has been awesome. Another coworker of mine has known Mike for years and has utilized his services to rent their own house. I would highly recommend renting through him.”

“Dave Blackwell and his team served my family and me wonderfully during the construction of our condo. We had a few customized features we requested, and they came out exactly as desired. Despite them being extremely busy with all the new construction, they were attentive and swift in responding to questions and concerns. I definitely recommend looking into Blackwell's construction projects if you want a new home (move fast; they sell like lightning!) or checking out the houses for sale by Blackwell if you want to buy an existing house. “I’m making this review just to be fair. I feel that I need to tell that Morgan Lane, who blamed Jeff Jones for the death of her son, is a liar. Recently I found out thru a Realtor that Morgan Lane’s husband, Kenneth Lane, actually was BUYING this house with owner financing! THEY DID NOT RENT it. And that means that they were responsible for care of the house, smoke detectors, etc. Not the guy who sold it. ............... Morgan Lane, the accusations you made are FALSE! There is a contract your husband has signed, as a proof of buying the house. I’m really sorry about your loss. But I’m being objective, and I want to say that everyone should be responsible for their own mistakes. God bless you.”

“The apartment office staff have been wonderful to work with as well as the maintenance team (maintenance guys are always funny and said hello to our cats every time they came). The apartments are spacious and, especially the master bath with jack and jill sink setup, loved that. Would recommend to anyone that doesn't mind being a little bit further from campus for the value,”

“We lived at the Grove for a few years and moved out this summer. I was waiting to review until we got our deposit packet back and was pleasantly surprised, they were very fair and I got a discount for staying in my apartment for 2 years. My apartment was very nice, neighbors were kind, and the office staff were very personable when going in to pay rent and pick up packages. I never had any major maintenance issues, but my small ones they attended to quickly. It was a great experience, I recommend them to anyone.”

“I lived there in a 1 br 1 bath no garage apartment with my partner for a year. If we hadn’t been moving out of town, we would’ve reneud our lease without much second thought. While the Woods is expensive, I think for the Bloomington market, it’s a good price considering what you get. The way the Woods is built and styled made it super easy to call home. My favorite part of our apartment had to be the MASSIVE bathtubs. I miss it already! Management was always super nice and maintained clear communication. Maintenance always responded quickly. We just got our deposit back, and they sent us not only the move-out report but also all the receipts from the cleaning and repairing services to show exactly where some of the deposit money went. Very pet friendly. Lots of our neighbors had dogs, and we had one cat with us. Very quiet, at least on our side. People who lived there were from all age groups, but I’d say most (from our experience) were post-college-age folks. If you do live here, my ONE COMPLAINT that should be kept in mind is that the communal washer and dryer areas suck. Don’t use them. They never cleaned my clothes, and they take quarters. Half of them are broken all the time, and no matter how many maintenance requests I made, they always ended up breaking again. You can buy your own washer and dryer and have it installed in your unit. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND doing this. Overall though, we really enjoyed our time at the Woods at Latimer and would definitely recommend it!”
