“I cannot say enough how grateful I am to Light Memorial & Funeral Chapel. From the first pre-planning meeting for arrangements throughout the final memorial for Mom, the services provided far exceeded my expectation. The funeral and mortuary business is just that, a business. However, in dealing with the Owner, Savanah Light, I never had the impression that we were dealing with anything other than the compassionate handling of end of life care for my Mom. Every family has different needs. We requested a modest service to reflect the modest lifestyle of our family. There was never a time nor effort to up-sale us on service arrangements during the entire relationship. The memorial service for Mom was beautiful. I was worried that I did not have enough nor give enough information to enable the staff at Light Memorial to do a proper service. I worried for nothing. They prepared a memorial service that dignified my Mom's life and gave great comfort to the surviving family and friends. Savanah led us though the process and gently extracted the information she needed without undue pressure. She handled everything with aplomb and ultimately left us with much needed quiet time to reflect on Mom's life and her passing. I was responsible for making the arrangements for Mom for our family. I can honestly say, Savanah made it feel like all I had to do was show-up. She and her staff are certainly deserving of recognition for providing a premier community service.
