(October 21, 2022, 10:24 am)swampy flood zone, eerie and creepy area but in a cool kind of way. definitely do not drive around here at night though due to drug activity. it’s only safe during the daytime but you’ll see wildlife.

(December 6, 2019, 3:05 pm)Beautiful wetland. Would love to see the agricultural area on the west side of I-65, adjacent to this site, restored. This would establish a corridor between this wetland and Thomastown Bottoms. This could possibly allow the copperbelly watersnake recolonize this area.
(October 6, 2019, 12:19 pm)Not a "flood zone" but one of the only remaining portions of the swamps that orinigally covered Scott County and the surrounding areas before they were drained for industrial agriculture in The 1850s. The area was established to repair some of the damage that draining did to the ecology.
