(January 6, 2019, 10:30 pm)This place is fun but strict for a reason. If you come here, I’d recommend water shoes as you have to walk around on harsh gravel to get to each station. Also come with an open mind as this ain’t somewhere you come if you want it immaculate. They use portable potties and the lake is full of sunscreen that falls off people’s backs. But it is a lot of fun. And in regards to another review, there were no snapping turtles or fish or any animals in the water. I can’t wait to go back this summer
(January 6, 2019, 9:40 pm)Great place for recreation rather it be swimming, fishing, camping, or for the thrill seeker. The woman and I went over the summer and had a blast. Pricing was fair and plenty to do on a nice warmer day. Bring something to float on if you want to spend more time relaxing on the water then treading it.
(September 13, 2018, 10:57 pm)We had a great time. Campsites were clean, everyone was friendly. Only complaint, they close the quarry at 6. Why? It is daylight until 9pm. Seems strange to me
(August 10, 2018, 8:17 pm)Our group arrived to camp and we experienced nothing but nice hospitality and a great time. While some things went wrong with our first camping experience, the staff did an amazing job in understanding our issues and reaching out with great hospitality to solve any issues we encountered. While in my previous review I mentioned many things that were not right, I failed to include many of the positives of white rock park. Many sections of the quarry are perfect for little kids and families to swim In, and there are many fun and exciting activities for anyone else. The staff make you feel at home, it’s a very friendly environment where anyone will help you. It’s also very nice that they include all camping necessities you may have forgotten at home. White rock park is well worth the drive.
Will definitely be making the trip back to white rock next summer!
(July 20, 2018, 1:24 pm)Cool atmosphere and place to go swimming, rope jumping, or jumping off 40 foot cliffs.
Few issues:
-Check in procedure is odd and takes awhile.
-No hard liquor allowed (really?)
-Do not accept credit or debit cards(what year is this?) While this is on their website, it is not explicitly visible so it’s easy to miss (like I did).
-There was an older gentleman who was quite short/rude while the younger teenagers were the respectful and nice people!!!
Pros:
-Tons of spaces to park and party for the day but you need to get there early (before 11AM on weekends).
-Swing ropes and boards are fun to jump off. Lines aren’t usually too long for each one.
-A pump to blow up rafts is by the front.
Suggestions:
-Bring plenty of water.
-Put clear alcohol in water bottles.
-Bring flotation devices or rafts!
-If staying all day, portable grill is a great idea!
-No dogs allowed! So, leave the pets at home.
-Bring hammocks that you can easily put on trees for relaxing!
