As someone who lives here this store is absolutely amazing and I go here quite often!
The man tries his best to keep everyone happy!!!! But you can't be happy when you pay 4 bucks for a stale loaf of bread!!! Great place tho!!!
Well I got to meet the owner of the corner store I expressed how I was not pleased with the young man that works up there and after learning some details I would like to take back my previous experience and comments but they really should work with him meaning the young cashier about friendliness.
Other than that I will still continue to go to the corner store I will still continue to give them my money and I'm sure they will continue to satisfy every customer needs they are a pillar in this community.
I don't know all the names but the four employees and owner are 100% without a doubt great to their customers.
I'm Marc Williams and they are lucky I'm still not employed with my previous employer because I would steal these cashiers to come work for us.
Happy Fourth of July today is our independence day, 7/4/22.
Always VERY clean, smells good and it's nicely organized. The man that often works in there "Con" (I believe is his name ? My apologies if that's incorrect or misspelled) has always been very pleasant and upbeat when I've been in there. There is however an older woman I've encountered who's been working in there though that was less than pleasant to associate with. I could have just caught her at a bad moment/on bad days 🤷. As far as inventory and pricing; the inventory is always plentiful and well kept. The freezers, refrigerators, pop machines and coffee makers are clean, very well kept and working properly. Pricing, in my opinion, is high. You are paying for both the product (s) and the convenience fee of the product(s), certainly. The establishment is easily accessible both inside and out. Payment options here include: Cash, Visa, MasterCard American Express etc. ($5.00 minimum purchase), Check (bounced check fee), and EBT. "The Corner Store" has been a popular convenience store in Richmond for as long as I can remember. At times and under some owners it wasn't always the most credible locations unfortunately. Im glad to see its current owners have cleaned it up so nicely, including making the bigger renovations.
My Recommendation: I would recommend this convenience store.
To the local Community: Highly recommend for last minute needs, your fountain pop quenches, items you forget during your regular shopping trips and other "Gas station run" and get items.
