“I've been visiting this location just shy of 2 years and the staff for the most part has been friendly. Today I met Aisha and my perception of the staff immediately became more positive. Aisha could see that I was struggling to get around due to a physical limitation, and without even having to ask offered assistance. I was truly amazed and overly thankful for Aisha's time, effort, and unbelievable caring demeanor. Thank you for being kind, thank you for noticing that I needed help, and thank you for being an amazing person. You made my day and gave me a spark of joy and faith that there are people willing to help. I look forward to coming back to see Aisha and the rest of the staff at this location. Thank You.”

“When it comes to lunch here in Millersburg this is your place. They offer everything from chicken and chicken tenders to all the appetizers you would expect from a kruchy chicken. They have cheese sticks, waffle fries, jalapeno poppers, mushrooms and more. They also offer pizza by the slice and pizza puffs. If you cannot find hot food you like here you must not like hot food”

“Has cheap gas, free member rewards with further gas discounts automatically applied if you enter your rewards number at the pump, and possibly the best automatic car wash in town. Be aware that they don't have the staff to stay open 24 hours a day anymore, and rarely will be closed all day if there's no one avaliable to be there at all. They do shut off their pumps after hours I believe.”

“I liked pretty much everything about Family Express. They had great products, many of them personally branded and healthy, an attractive store - but the real knockout product was the cashier, Tina. Family Express starts their cashiers at $15 an hour, and that maybe has something to do with why Tina has stayed in her job for 13 years. All the customers who came in while we were there seemed to know Tina and to like her a lot. It seemed like everybody had a compliment about something for her. She pays wonderful personal attention to people and talks to them so sweetly about their lives. She is a great teacher and helped me understand all the details of the coffee machine, with which I was not familiar, and just basically guided me through the store. I have found that in big cities black people often are afraid of dogs (I think because in poor black neighborhoods dogs are seldom kept as pets, but only as guard dogs - and are trained to be mean). Tina grew up near Valparaiso and knows and likes dogs, even though she does not have one herself. She was exceptionally sweet with my little service Chihuahua - and Pancho obviously liked her immediately. When I like a convenience store, I like to buy their store-branded coffee mugs - both because I believe in reusing a mug rather than throwing away a lot of paper or plastic, but also to show my loyalty to that company. Tina explained to me that the Family Express company truly was created by a family and outsources other parts of their stock to family businesses when they can. It looks from my GPS map like they are mostly clustered between Indianapolis and Lafayette Indiana. I will patronize them when I get a chance on the way up to Chicago. I highly recommend this company, but mostly I recommend Tina. If you get a chance to meet her, you may agree with me that she is not just an essential worker, but a world-class customer service professional. I encourage the Family Express company to contact the Apple Corporation and let them know that their GPS should not show the store as “permanently closed”. I don’t know how that came about, because the Google listing does show them as being open. Some other convenience stores in Indiana have a self-service state lottery machine, so that the cashier does not get tied up selling lottery tickets. I recommend that Family Express also adopt this system.”

“I come to this gas station probably once every couple of months, and rarely ever walk away with complaints. The old owners had been there for quite some time and were well known in this small area. From what I hear now there are new owners and things are rapidly changing. I was saddened to hear they no longer offer the breakfast pizza and their selection in popular items has drastically changed, however I plan to continue periodically getting my refreshments here and get gas every now and then.”

“LOVE THIS PLACE. Great people! Great service! I absolutely think it's awesome that they've kept that ole' nostalgic, classic petrol service station feel and atmosphere. Back when every "gas station" had a service shop that was apart of the same business, ran/own by the same people/person. Hence the term "Service Stations". Which inevitably turned into "Gas Stations" when the dynamics of automotive work and filling up your gas tank really changed with increased automotive reliability and other factors, in which one became much less frequently needed as the other grew higher & higher in demand. Also, sadly, these were also the times when people looked out for one-another, especially their neighbors, often quick to give a hand, instead of "playing slight-of-hand, to take a hand". So back then, people were trustworthy enough TO BE trusted not to, for example; steal, rob, and/or rip-off your local small businesses. So, of course it was more common back then for "Service Stations" to have pumps, much like the pumps in Orland, where it's required to pump first and then pay inside. Here in Orland, if you instinctively pull out a piece of your "precious plastic money" at these pumps without thinking about it, you will immediately, in-return, hear laughter growing in volume as each of the pumps begin to hysterically laugh AT you while pointing their nozzles AT you, making fun of you as you now hastily drive off with your head down and tail tucked between your legs. Anyways, enough of the fun, I can ONLY comment on behalf of the gas station side and not necessarily the automotive repair work or service station aspect. Although, since it's all done by the same folks, I can only imagine getting good, fair, and honest work. They also seem like the type of folk that wouldn't think twice to honor their work, and also, be quick to stand behind their word, when need be. Like I said, this is complete speculation on my part with regard to the service/repair shop, but due to the overall atmosphere of the entire place always being in the way I've stated, I'm sure it's indicative of everything else there besides petrol.”
