Douglas State Fishing Lake

Free camping, nice fishing areas. I'd like to feel a little safer when I go, however.

This is a boondocking location...pretty, small lake .. level parking areas right off the paved road. Several times when we have been there ..there has been a lot of late night traffic and noise

Came here for Labor Day and truly enjoyed my experience. Though you can't swim at this lake, I still had fun skipping rocks and walking around the whole lake. Super fun time for me my friends

Really nice lake for a long walk. It's really out away from it all. Makes an excellent site for stargazing, or watching meteor showers. If you search on the East side of the dam, you can find Deer trails to follow through the woods. Easy to find firewood for your campsite too.

Awesome fishing lake. Loads of bluegill and sunfish for the kids to catch or for catfish bait. Some nice channel cat and quite a few decent sized bass too! Have a ball every time I go! Don't forget to pick up after yourself to keep it clean for all of us (even better if you pick up others trash!)
