After reading some of the other reviews, I was wary of going here; but given that I didn't have much of a choice, I did.
(But first, to the person that excused rude behavior by the employees here by writing, "get over it, they're not in customer service", I say: Everyone with a job is in customer service (because, whether internal or external, everyone has a customer). And, if that attitude were pervasive, we'd all still have terrible RMV/DMV experiences.)
All told, I spent about 15 minutes here (8:45 AM on a Wednesday). Not bad. No one was rude to me. I heard no one yelling. But it also seemed clear that the people (mostly women, for what it's worth) didn't enjoy their jobs. I got no smile, no small talk, no nothing but the bare necessities.
Oh well... Four stars.
The inspection was quick and the staff was so nice. The person taking care of my inspection even offered to bring my paperwork directly to my car so I didn't have to get my newborn out. There was a line all the way through the parking lot, but only took 45 minutes altogether.
Officer Angelica did an outstanding job, getting the VIN inspected on my Harley in quick fashion! Very courteous also! (if you're courteous, expect to be treated in same fashion)
Couple of notes:
1. pick your times wisely...I went 2pm and there was only 2 vehicles in front of me.
2. When you pull in, TURN OFF YOUR ENGINE!
3. STAY WITH YOUR VEHICLE..they will come over to you when it's your turn.
4. You don't pay the $20 fee here anymore...you pay it when you get your tag at the DMV.
I was skeptic due to the poor ratings for this location. However, I was thrilled with how quick and efficient my experience was. There was a long line, but the whole process (including waiting) took no more than 30 minutes! The only thing that slowed down the process was a gentleman who didn’t know how to fill out the back of a car title. Everyone was very pleasant and respectful! And honestly, if they can work in this Summer heat and still smile then they deserve an award!
