Gem of a restaurant at the Inn at Meadowbrook. Intimate setting with ample outdoor seating on beautiful nights overlooking the pond. Food was delicious, waitress was delightful. Best part was telling the sommelier our order and allowing him to select a bottle to compliment our dinner. Fun experience in a great setting! Excited to return.
We went for our anniversary. Treated like royalty from beginning to end. Everything was fantastic, beautiful, delicious. Our server, Cassie, was a gem and gave us tons of attention and help w menu questions. The manager comped our dessert as a kind anniversary gift. Highly recommend for any occasion or just because. Ambience was lovely and food was incredible and unique.
Delicious food and great service. I had crispy egg bites, New England clam/seafood chowder and poached cod. Highly recommend the eggs. They were absolutely perfect. My husband ordered the pork chop and it was much better than my entree. Over all delicious but be prepared to pay more than you'd expect.
Recently stayed at the Inn at Meadowbrook for two full weeks (due to family issues) and spent most evenings at the bar at Verbena (also due to family issues - ha ha). Bartenders Joe and Tim made Verbena feel like a home away from home with personable service and amazing original cocktails. And the food coming out of the kitchen was delicious -- from appetizers to dessert. Put Verbena on your list for anything from a full sit down dinner or just a drink at the bar.
Absolutely divine. This is our new favorite spot and my husband said it’s the best food he’s ever had in Kansas City, and he grew up here! We started with the dressed trout roe eggs and cocktails. Amazing. Arctic char and honey glazed grilled peach bone-in pork chop for entrees. To die for. Ice cream sandwich and lemon tart for dessert. Heavenly. I’d also like to note that the entire restaurant, lobby, and restroom smelled GOOD. Like fresh floral and herbs and citrus. I’d love to know how they do it. 10/10. I will recommend this place to everyone I meet.
