No need for quarters .. A++ in my book and pretty clean too
Overall clean, affordable and accommodating establishments. The options to wash prices and unit range from small to super size which is a bonus for washing heavy loads and bedding. The washing prices are reasonable. I only gave them 4 stars because it cost 25 cents for only 3 minutes and if you don’t set the dryer to high before starting it your clothes will take even longer and become more expensive to dry completely. (Bonus it’s a safe, well lite location for this area.)
Only giving four stars because the ATM machine was out of service. This laundromat was much cheaper than the one. I previously had a bad experience with. It cost under $20 for me to wash three loads of laundry in the medium washers. The washing and drying machines here are also kept very clean. Does not seem like it's in a ghetto area. Bathroom was a lot nicer than the last place I went as well. Will definitely be using this place to wash my laundry for the next year
This is a great coin laundromat. It is clean the majority of the time, and I have seen the manager/owner outside picking up trash along the sidewalk/street in front of his establishment. Cleanliness seems to be a priority. I have been here in the early morning (7am) and around midday (11a-2p). The later in the day it gets and as more people use it, the dirtier it becomes(especially the bathroom). But it has NEVER been filthy. There is a good number of washing machines ranging from 2 load capacity to 8 load capacity and two different sized dryers small and large. The A/C works great for those hot days. There is a digital jukebox/music video machine for those who need entertainment, and there is also free WiFi. The password is displayed prominently on the wall near the front door. There is a snack/drink machine available, but it does not offer water as an option. There is a soap/bleach/softener dispenser, but I always bring my own. There is also an ATM and a change machine that can change $1, $5, $10, and/or $20s. I have never had a problem getting coins of any denomination, but I mostly change $20s. There are plenty of basket carts available to use when I have come. There are about 10-12 spaces available for seating. Sometimes they are full so I will sit in my car. There is street parking available along Shawnee or there is a dirt/gravel parking lot on the East side of the building.
Overall, I would highly recommend this establishment over 4th Street Laundry. Yes, it is a little more expensive, but I feel more safe coming here, as a pregnant woman with four children, than I do at 4th Street. (I have been told by patrons at 4th that folks get robbed there frequently). Also, Carriage Work is much cleaner. Lastly, even on the best places, I only give four stars because there is always room for improvement.
Here is the breakdown for washers/dryers...
Washers:
8 load = $11 (huge; can hold more than a green Army duffel bag) x2 available
6 load = $8.75 x4 available
4 load = $5.75 x6 available
2 load = $3.50 x8 available
Dryers:
14 smaller $0.25 = 6 minutes of drying time
10 larger $0.25 = 4 minutes of drying time
Clean and spacious laundromat. Vending machines inside laundromat. There are lots of chairs to sit in and several tables to fold clothes on. There is an attendant on duty part time. And there is a coin operated jukebox. The prices on the washers are really good and the dryers dry quicker than the other laundromat in town.
