“Family member has been in a few nursing facilities. North Point at Paola has caring staff that get to know the residents. They can tell when someone is just having an off day. They work to keep cheer in the hallways, talking to residents and each other. Physical therapists are good. Food looks good and our resident asks for food in off dinner hours, and gets it with a smile. They have made remodeling updates lately. Glad they are here for our resident. I don't give five stars, so they got a good rating from me.”

“Miami Lumber is a small town lumber yard and Hardware. They are a great source for your needs as opposed to driving quite a few miles to a big box store. They don't have everything that everyone wants because of the size of a community. Their staff is always very polite and helpful and I enjoy shopping there when I have an immediate need!! Destroys well-organized and always clean and has most standard needs of the community!! I recommend anyone living close visit the store and find out for themselves how helpful the staff is!! Today I went there in search of a particular item, a self centering center punch!! I've looked for it in larger stores and was not able to to find exactly what I was looking for but Miami Lumber did have what I needed and I was able to complete my project today!!!!”

“My sister had her bachelorrete party here a few weeks ago and it's an understatement to say how blown away we were! We stayed in the AC cabin for one night. The beds were very comfortable, and I would even go as far to say more comfortable than my bed at home. I got great sleep. The premises are gorgeous. There are gardens everywhere and an abundance of birds, goats, chickens, roosters, ducks, and peacocks. It was lovely to sit outside and just watch them wonder about. The couple who owns the amazing property were so welcoming. My group forgot water, and they made sure we had a large pitcher of nice, cool cucumber water. At night, they lit our own campfire for us. They definitely went above and beyond for their guests. Breakfast (so good and homemade!!!) was served on their giant wrap around porch filled with big porch swings, benches and rocking chairs. I drank coffee out there in the morning and felt so at peace watching the birds. We will definitely be visiting again and are wanting to make an annual trip at Hoot Owl Hill. I would recommend this quaint place to anyone looking for a fun weekend getaway.”

“THEY WERE OUT TO HELP W/ FROZEN PIPE LEAK & FIXED PROMTLY .WOULD HAVE LIKED A 1/4T OFF VALVE TO OUTSIDE SO COULD DRAIN IN WINTER.. USE EXTRA HEATER TO KEEP UNTHAWED/FREEZES COST ME MORE ELEC. THEY DID EXCELLENT JOB DIGGING SEWER LINE, & REPLACING, EXCEPT FOR ONE PARKING BLOCK DAMAGE..JUST NEED TO REPLACE W/ EXTRA ONE HAVE ON LOT & GET GOOD GUY MAN TO HELP.. I RAKED LEVELED ALL ROCK & DEBRIS TO ALLEY & THEY PICKED IT UP, FEW DAYS W LOADER LATER.:).JOB WELL DONE. FREE HAIRCUT STILL FOR HIS DIG WORKERS OR GIFT CERTIFICATE TO A NEEDY FRIEND..CANT COMMENT ON LAST JOB YET, TRYIN TO B POSITIVE..”
