What a splash of nature in the city! My family loved walking the boardwalk and watching the wildlife in it's protected habitat. We saw 3 blue herons, one egret, and a turtle. The American lotus growing was amazing. They are just about to bloom. It was awesome!
This is a great place to spot different birds. The park is not that big, and the fact that it’s right next to a busy road sort of does interrupt the wildlife from coming here. There was a significant amount of garbage and pollution by humans around the park and on the trees. I hope they don’t do more development around this location that can further reduce the wildlife in the area.
Very nice wetlands. We just did the short walk across the bridge to a blind. But a very interesting vegetation. Looked like there may be a nature trail that we did not access. Looks like there are still plans for an extended boardwalk that and haven't started.
I never knew about this place. Really kinda cool! Especially with all the waterlilies in such tiny place! Amazing! The area provides a place for the native birds and others creatures of the Kansas lands! It's a nice place to just relax and enjoy the birds, fish, and flowers of the area!
Beautiful place, can not wait for next phases
