We had an awesome time with the dinosaurs and got to see some awesome talent while we were there (Zach Stone). My daughter absolutely loved him and wanted to stay in the theater all day and watch him!!! Every time we would leave the theater, when she would hear him on the microphone, she would make me take her back to watch Zach! He even made time to talk to us after the shows. He was so fun and interactive with the kiddos. Hope to visit again soon and catch more shows with Zach in them! Thanks Zach for making learning fun!
Our first experience was in the heat of the summer but we enjoyed every minute. We purchased a family pass to come back again! They had plenty of stations for water spraying to keep cool and our kids loved the raptor maize. Did see minor flaws here and there but overall was a trip we look forward to making every week! The heat wasn’t going to stop us but we did prepare with plenty of ice water and Powerade, cold spray water and frog towels, sun screen and breaks to sit. We packed our lunch and ate in the theater and they had trash cans right there for easy clean up. Looking forward to our next visit! Thank you! The staff is wonderful!
We had a good visit. The paths are relatively short so you don't end up having to walk that far to get to things. You will find your self going back and forth across the park if you are trying to see all the shows/do the activities. Speaking of they were the highlight of the visit. Without the extra things going on every 15-30 minutes the Park would be very underwhelming, so I was thankful for those. I was impressed by the Trex show. Didn't expect it to be a musical but they did well.
We decided to visit this exhibit through the Sunflower Fun summer program. We were quite pleasantly surprised with our experience. While it doesn't look fancy as you drive up (other than some impressive full-size dinosaurs peeking out from above), it was a really great experience.
The price included a simple and fun 18 holes of mini golf and the walk-through dinosaur exhibit.
The golf course isn't fancy, but it was plenty of fun. When our balls went in the water, they floated, so we could fish them out. Great news for a parent of young overzealous children. One of the holes even had a benefit for going into the stream.
As we walked through the main exhibit, we saw many dinosaurs we'd never heard of before. Each one had a board with plenty of interesting information, and there were far more dinosaurs than any similar exhibit I'd seen previously, well more than 30. Most of them moved or made sounds.
The kids area was fun for my grade-school aged kid. He spent at least 40 minutes in the sand excavation area alone. He even liked putting the 3-D dinosaur puzzle together, something he's not usually interested in finishing.
The bathrooms were spread around the area and were all clean. There were a few food and drink options for those who wanted to purchase food and picnic tables for eating. We opted to bring a picnic lunch this time.
Probably the most impressive part of was the staff. Everyone was friendly, which is something one should expect. But they were also proactive in involving the visitors in activities and information. We were stopped by more than one person who asked my son questions and shared interesting facts. When kids were playing in the excavation area, one of the employees invited them to one corner for a myth buster game that was short and fun. It's clear the employees care about the the exhibit and the guests.
This was the most fun experience I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying with my children. Without exception, every single person working here gave off the impression that they really loved what they were doing and their energy was infectious. The life size dinos are unforgettable and really make the topic come to life. When combined with the awesome, enthusiastic staff/performers, this is the best value for your money in kids entertainment in the Midwest. I can't recommend it more and we will definitely be back. My only regret is that we didn't find this gem sooner.
