I am a 70 year old retired Nursing Professor. While walking across the street to meet my students for clinical at the hospital, I was hit by a large pickup truck. I suffered a head injury and multiple other injuries including my neck and back. From that day forward I had intense pain and never slept a night. After 3 years, I decided to go ahead with a neck discectomy and fusions from C3-C6. Although, immediately after surgery, I did have shoulder pain, my neck has not given me issues. It was the easiest surgery and recovery that I have ever had. By my two week post-op appointment, I was not using any medications and I was walking 2-3 miles a day. I could get good sleep and life looked much better. If you need such a surgery, I would recommend Dr Whitaker. I wish that I had not waited so long to have it done. Now, I am 2 years post-op and so very grateful for the relief of pain this surgery offered me.

Dr. Walker is going to do a knee replacement in July ,then the other knee And both hip joints soon. I dont plan on anyone else providing for me . I trust his thoughts and his ability. He is a matter of fact Doctor yet very personable and likeable.

From the moment I entered Dr. Whitaker’s office, I was greeted warmly and treated with respect. The pre and post surgery staff gave me thorough explanations and encouragement. Dr. Whitaker is a patient listener. His calm demeanor guided me through my treatment options. His skill as a surgeon gave me back my quality of life. I can walk without pain. I can push a shopping cart without needing its support. I can dance again! I am so grateful I chose Dr. Whitaker and his staff.

I had to have back surgery, a laminectomy. Dr Whitaker and the staff at Kansas Joint and Spine we're amazing. They were very polite and made you feel.like you were the only patient they had. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing any kind of orthopedic care.

I've been seeing Dr. Bradly Bruner for 14 years, he is super busy because he is absolutely amazing. But, with being busy- he listens and actually makes you feel like he cares about how you're feeling and making sure you get the best care possible. He's honestly the best in town, and of I ever moved I'd travel just to keep him as my Doctor. Today I met new staff, and all of them were amazing, kind, understanding and helpful. I would, and do recommend ANYONE and EVERYONE to go to him.
