This is a fantastic breakfast spot. It has all the home cooked favorites on the menu, and the servers are very friendly. I was disappointed that nothing was homemade. Good, but the food has that "out of a can; out of a bag" feel and taste.
I happen to love corned beef hash out of a can, so I was okay with it. The generic pre-baked biscuits were the worst part of the entire meal. I like my homemade biscuits and gravy, so that was a real letdown.
Overall, I would certainly go back for breakfast. I would just make better choices from the menu.
Best breakfast I've had in a long time! We got it to go on Friday.
I got the dagwoods sandwich which is basically two grilled cheese with hashbrowns mixed in with different meat in between them and covered with gravy. It was so good I'm getting hungry just thinking about it again.
An good tasting economical breakfast. I ordered the Meat Lover's Omelet, a ☕️, and an unsweetened 🧊 🍵! The eggs had a touch of 🧈 flavor. The breakfast 🥔 tasted like russet and were lightly fried. The toast was crisp and buttery!
My only gripes were the dearth of seating and the cramped interior. My server was very pleasant. The other diners were homely and 😊. A nice little joint on the Kansas border for a quick down home bite!
Went there for brunch, and it was awesome! Wait to be seated was about 15 minutes. It was well worth it. When we were seated, my husband and I were immediately greeted by a server. She was friendly and quick. Our food was ready in about 10 minutes. It was huge portions and VERY affordable. We got the Dagwood and Breakfast burrito with chorizo and bacon and a side of hashbrowns. I recommend checking them out! They’re probably one of best breakfast places I’ve been to in KC.
classic hole in the wall greasy spoon diner. service was very fast. food was pretty good. it's really a place for the locals. I visited for breakfast 2 days in a row when I was in town for business.
