Middle Creek Park

This is a great and very peaceful place to hike. My dogs love it here because there is plenty of access to the creek. These are frequently used horse trails so be aware that the terrain does get rough when it is muddy.

Probably the best hiking trails in Boone County. There are some steep trails so be ready. Also know that the trails are also open for horseback rides. I’ve not seen anyone riding but there are clear signs they are around. ;-)

Fun hike trail in the forest. The trail 1 should take some 1.5 to 2 hours and goes through a moderately thick forest. If you are lucky, you might spot a deer or rabbit or maybe some other animal.

Beautiful park with clear trails. It was pretty clean for the first hike of the season. A conservation officer walked with our scouts and taught them owl calls, tree types, and some basic tracking. Really enjoyed it.

I loved this for hiking! Water is beautiful while also getting a taste of what feels like wilderness ....definitely muddy but so worth it! I took the 3 mile loops. I did it in maybe an hour or a little more
