Recently signed my second year lease and want to share important info with those considering. I definitely wasn't paid to review, the opposite actually since my rent went up $35 per month on this renewal.
PROS: I have a beautiful patio view when the trees are in bloom and in fall when the trees change. Lots of birds chirping, squirrels and wildlife which I like. Close to DHL, Amazon and airport. Maintenance is fantastic, quick to resolve my issues and respectful. Washer and dryers in unit for rent is convenient ($50 per month) Dumpsters are always empty, pickups daily and the property is clean. The property is well taken care of by gardeners cutting grass and trimming trees weekly. Gym, though small is 24 hours and usually empty. My downstairs neighbors are nice and the community is quiet. My amazon packages have sat for a week at my door and no ones taken them. Very safe. Raffles and food trucks at the office in summer and a great firepit I've used a few times. Pool is nice.
CONS: No bonus for being a new tenant, very large security deposit and a rent increase for those who stay. I can hear my above neighbors every cough, every flush, hard footstep and speakerphone conversation. His air-conditioning runs constantly, which wouldn't be an issue if his a/c unit wasn't 12 inches to the left of my patio.
My fridge is yellow and my stove is from the 90s. Rent is raised nearly 3% at each renewal. Lastly if you terminate your lease early you'll pay an $800 fee plus your rent every month after you move out, until they lease your apartment.
My girlfriend and i are looking for apartments now. We have a budget of 1300-1400. We would like a 2 bed 1 bath if available for that price range. Ik i havent viewed or lived there but i appreciate how the owner has responded to each reponse someone has posted. That says alot.
I have lived at Sky Harbor Apartments on Limaburg Road for nearly a year, and have been pleasantly surprised by the friendly and positive professionalism of management and maintenance. On the very few occasions when I have had a question or concern they have been attentive and the quick response has been most welcome. Shauntee and her team have been great neighbors, and a pleasure to work with. Sky Harbor is quiet and clean. My apartment is spacious and comfortable. I look forward to being part of the community for some time to come.
I am a current tenant at Sky Harbor Apartments. In my experience, the outdoor and public spaces are well cared for. The staff and management make the effort to deal with problems quickly and efficiently. Our apartment was clean and well cared for when we moved in and we have continued to be well cared for during out time here. Maintenance has been pretty good about attending to maintenance requests from general repairs to dealing with bug problems. The rent is a little high, especially for a young couple just starting out, but the safety of the neighborhood paired the amenities and comforts both inside the apartment and out more than make up for that. It is a lovely, calm, quiet neighborhood to live in. We are very happy here and look forward to continuing to enjoy good service and care for the rest of our time here.
