Great experience for kids. Friendly for special needs as well

I took my first grade class here for a field trip and it was phenomenal! They offer grants to make this a free trip by paying for transportation, there may be some money still available for other interested educators! Very low stress, super laid back and educational environment for students, and helpful and friendly tour guide and staff. Students went in to the conference room upon arrival and they had pbs kids playing on the screen! (How smart, btw... kids had something to watch while we got settled and discussed plans between the teachers and KET staff and cut out that beginning of field trip chaos). Then one class went on a tour and other went to the media lab to do an activity involving technology. We did DoInk on the iPads. The woman modeling how to use the program did a great job and was very patient with my young students. The tour was great as well, we saw the control rooms, editing, got to be on greenscreen (students fave), and the studios. We ate lunch in the conference room area and it was very easy. Thanks KET, for a fabulous field trip.
