Jot-Em Down Store

I am coming back for another roast beef sandwich in the fall, but this time I am getting two.
A nice little family owned general store,nothing fancy but unique long history
Nice and friendly folks .

Good food in the deli, great lunch specials friendly staff. Only wish they had more parking

Sweet little hole in the wall corner spot.... Serves cold beer!!! Plus some great cold cut sandwiches

Haven't been there in about 10 years, but we used to love stopping by this little store whenever we came to Lexington. It was smack dabb in the middle of hallowed horse country, off of Iron Works Pike. They had a really old and beautiful picture of Man O' War up on the wall. I tried to buy it several times, but they weren't about to sell it. We would always have a beer or a bottle of coke and talk to the locals. It was just a cool place if you're horse and racing lovers. I hope it's still there because i hope to come back there someday.
