Not that anyone loves waiting in line to get a tag/scan bar to get on post, but I've never had a problem here. The guards there deal with a lot, not just seeing if you're eligible to be on a military installation. I have never been in there when one of the guards was hateful or nasty towards me, but "professional" would be a more appropriate statement. They have a serious job and they try to get everyone out of there as quickly as possible. Most of the time they are extremely nice, and the last time even caught a mistake on my printout, corrected it right away, and saved me another trip from going around the circle again and back to the visitor's center. There is ample seating for those that have to wait, and the last time I looked they had brochures and maps for some of the things to do around post.
Since it is mandatory for visitor's to go through the visitor's center, at least they know what they're doing and they try to get you out of there quickly.
The workers are very professional. And we were able to get our new ID cards without any problems.
Thank You to the guard for allowing me to take a few pictures to document my trip to Kentucky..
I was there to get the pass to enter their base. They do have kiosk but it can take a while because they will have to do background check. If it failed, you will have to go to customer service to get it approved. I have no problems with it.
