The Fish House & Grill

They are great overall. The people working the counter are on top of their responsibilities. Food is ready in a reasonable time and the prices are appropriate. One issue - the desserts are very hit or miss. Sometimes they taste really bland or like they’ve been sitting there too long. Update: the shrimp is now on point and deveined every time I've tried!

The Fish House and Grill is the best restaurant in Kentucky! While traveling to Fort Knox, coworker and I went shopping for a place to eat. After browsing around Radcliffe and Elizabethtown, we ended up in the Fish house. First impression, 100% of health inspection. The place was so clean, friendly staff, amazing fresh food, lovely atmosphere, etc. The fish was fresh not frozen... that blow my mind. Highly recommend. The heartbreaking part is not been able to enjoy it more frequently.

My tablemates thought that their cod was a bit overcooked. The uniformity of the fish pieces made us feel like the fish was shipped in frozen from a factory. But... you can tell it's fresh cooked. And I feel like the batter / coating on the cod was fresh/homemade. Breading is almost a cornmeal kind of flavor, definitely not a beer batter or tempura (just so you know)

The fries were nothing spectacular and could use some sort of seasoning. The shrimp were awesome! I loved them! The fresh slices of pie (quite a few choices) looked appetizing.

Folks at the front counter weren't out to be your best friend, but certainly weren't rude, either. Just moving people through the ordering process.

If I had to do it again, I would get shrimp a second time and likely try some catfish. That seems more likely to be local-caught there. Lots of people getting orders to-go while we ate, so I know that their food is good.

The food and the prices are amazing. Donna is helpful and friendly every time. I could eat here everyday!
