“I stopped by the Sheriff's Department a few weeks ago to pay my property tax. It was near the he deadline for the early payment discount and I expected to stand in line for a while, as had been my experience in another county before moving to New Castle a few years ago. To my surprise, they were processing payments very quickly and efficiently. Although there were a number of people in line ahead of me, I was through and on my way in about six minutes. Small Town customer service at it's best.”
