Very nice church and Deacon Bowling is absolutely awesome!
Love this place, awsome loving community!
Saint Gabriel the Archangel is one of the best churches and schools in the entire Metro Louisville area. The school is located in the Fern Creek area right on Bardstown Road, and the grounds are very modern and well taken care of. The school has had several expansion projects over the years, with the newest building being completed about 20 years ago. I myself went here from Kindergarten thru 8th grade, and thanks to the high quality education received at this top notch school I felt I was very well prepared for my high school classes. I always ended up holding my teacher in high regards after every single grade that I passed, and never did I feel that the teachers weren't the best teachers around. I recall the office staff and administrative faculty also being very kind and dedicated to the school. Aside from the school aspect, Saint Gabriel the Archangel has an awesome church community. Every Sunday and Saturday evening several faith services are offered, and the church consistently has very talented and committed priests servicing the faith community. Although I admittedly should go to church more, I always feel at home when I can attend a Saint Gabriel mass.
The last thing worth noting is somewhat based off the individual experience, but I think I can speak for many when I say the extracurricular activities offered through sports and clubs are what makes the education fully rounded and provides student athletes with friendships and all the intangibles that sports help develop. I even won a Toy Bowl with the football team in 2006, what memories!
Last but definitely not least, the fish fry offers the best fried fish in Louisville. Period. Case closed.
Amazing school all around.
This was my first time. Keep in mind its on the opposite side of the street from its address. I attended a funeral mass for my aunt. It was extremely dignified and I felt my aunt was completely honored at every moment. I only wish I will receive the same.
