Joyful Birth: Abbie Gibitz

My husband and I took Abbie’s private class and we are so thankful we did! She gave practical and evidence driven information on labor and birth. I have felt so encouraged, empowered, and optimistic throughout my pregnancy and I know that this course greatly supported that.

This is a 5 week class that covers many topics! I loved being able to have someone experienced and knowledgeable (Abbie of course) to ask ALL the questions, as well as be with other pregnant mamas and their partners. This class helps to be prepared and therefore be empowered during the birthing process.

My husband and I took Abbie’s Lamaze class and found it so helpful! This is our first pregnancy and I was feeling very fearful and unprepared. I really appreciated all the information and resources Abbie taught us, as well as having an experienced doula/teacher/mother to ask all of my questions to. The hands on approach to practicing positions and relaxation techniques helped me feel so much more prepared! I am so glad I decided to take Abbie’s class, she is such a kind and gentle person, and now I feel empowered about my body’s capabilities and have so much less fear and anxiety.

Abbie is an excellent doula, and she has extensive knowledge of resources in the Lexington area in regards to natural, and/or home birth. My husband and I list her as one of the most valuable investments we could have made for our birth experience. I highly recommend taking her birth class as well!

Abbie did a great job as our doula! She was encouraging, helpful and brought peace to the delivery room. I would definitely hire her again!
