Captains Cabin

We enjoyed the cabin for 3 days. We highly recommend! Beautiful home, beautiful decorating, and gracious hosts. Worth the price for the wonderful experience. The fridge and dishwasher are hidden behind a facade of old cabinets. All the amenities, but very rustic. We used Pegasus Transport to enjoy Louisville. It was perfect! You can not go wrong with this choice. Daily home baked goods treat you every morning. Fireplace is awesome too! Give it a try please.

Amazing character and history with luxurious comforts and a very prime location. Tammy and Jan were excellent hosts and Tammy's breakfasts were divine.

We stayed at Captain’s Cabin for just one night and loved every minute of it. The cabin is more than 200 years old, per Jan and Tammy, but is in immaculate condition. We were surprised with wine, cheese, and dessert when we arrived, and enjoyed all of it by the fire place. The bed is very comfortable as well, making for a great nights sleep.

Jan cooked us an amazing breakfast this morning, delivering an Irish breakfast right to our door in the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day. This experience was so unique, and is great for anyone looking for a weekend away! We hope to come back soon!

My wife and I stayed one night at Captain’s cabin. It was an incredible experience! Jan and Tammy are hospitable and kind. They have done an amazing job at restoring and maintaining the character and warmth of the log cabin. And breakfast was delicious! We highly recommend staying here for a secluded get away.

I booked this cabin for a romantic getaway and a bit of a production. Tammy and her husband made our stay warm and welcoming. The space has tons of character and just the right amount of seclusion. Tammy agreed to make a special concession and provided us breakfast during the weekdays. And although Jan told me we were getting the 'B team' breakfast (I think Tammy was out) it was a beautiful gesture. This location has everything you need for the perfect getaway or staycation!
