The executive order by Gov. Andy Beshear went into effect Friday at 5 p.m. You must wear a mask any time you're in public and cannot be socially distanced.
You are not required to wear a mask while eating or drinking or sitting at a table. Anyone with a mental or physical impairment is not required to wear one. Children 5 and under are also not required to wear one.

Many businesses in Northern Kentucky had masks available for customers who forgot to bring one.
Alison Spears, owner of Villa Mocha in Villa Hills, says they won a grant from the NKY Chamber that helped cover the cost of masks, hand sanitizer and gloves for their customers.
"We knew this was going to happen and just to make people feel comfortabel before it was even mandated that we would have masks, gloves and hand sanitizer available to anyone who wanted it complimentary, and, really, we've had people take three or four and they wanted some for their kids later, and we're just happy to be able to provide that
