“This was our first time at Ramen House and the venue did not disappoint. Extremely well prepared, presented and very flavorful. How do they get that egg picture perfect every time! When they say “spicy”, they mean it. A super flavorful spice, though. I wasn’t familiar with the drinks so I went with some kind of canned, sparkling grapefruit sake. It was very refreshing!! They apparently have a $40 dish that is 5 bowls of noodles, 4 servings of pork, 3 eggs, and a bunch of vegetables. We didn’t try it ... but maybe next time. Everything we did try from appetizers to dessert and from noodles to rice was hot, fresh and really, really good. I highly recommend this spot! Oh and parking was easy because it is behind the Mid City Mall!”

“It was the cleanest movie theater that I have ever been in, and they have the most amazing black leather recliners. You can actually recline them and relax while watching the movie. Baxter Avenue Movie Theatre held this years "The Louisville Children's Film Festival" which my son, his drama class and several other students from several different visual and performing arts schools was a contestant of. The award ceremony was also held there a week later. Alex and 2 other of his classmates, with their film "Just A Joke" came in 2nd place.”

“Good local (yes I know it's not really local) grocery. Locals in the neighborhood can walk, bike, or stop on their way home and find an excellent selection of fresh fruit and veggies, and a little less impressive selection of other food items, though I not sure what they don't have that you might need. It's clean and well lit with a deli counter, fresh breads and pastries (assuming cuz I didn't actually get any). Store staff are friendly and helpful. I enjoyed a less corporate experience. Parking is a non-issue because it is located in a small mall that has large lots front and back. Worth a visit if you're in the neighborhood or passing by and you have the time, even if you don't need anything in particular.”

“The Back Door is a local favorite (and kind of a secret). A lot of people don't know about this cool little dive. Their wings are GREAT and are probably the most reasonably priced in Louisville. Beer selection is okay, and the bartenders are always fun. My buddy and I usually come here to play darts and get a drink. We always wind up having a good time.”
