El Nopal

Great service on a holiday! Friendly wait staff. The quesadilla fajita gigante was no joke! Have leftover for days

I was visiting family in Louisville for a few days. We decided on El Nopal. I used to frequent the Sellersburg location years ago when I lived in the area. This location stands it’s ground. It’s the exact same food, if not better :)

I recently moved to the area and in the early goings I stuck to some of the more well known, national restaurant chains. No complaints there, but I'm so glad I found this place. I ordered take-out the other day and what can I say? The food was fresh and flavorful, generous portions. The salsa, the pico de gallo had tremendous flavor. And the tortilla chips? I could eat them plain, they're that good. But when you put everything together, you just get a good authentic Mexican meal. They also have a pretty extensive menu (great vegetarian options as well) and I look forward to trying some different dishes. I think I've found my "go to" Mexican restaurant in Louisville.

The food is always cheap but doesn't ever seem cheap. It comes out looking amazing and tastes amazing as well. The employees are very nice and check up on you at the perfect times.

Solid choice for Mexican! I love that you can mix your salsa to the right heat level. Really enjoy the lunch portion of the fajita quesadilla.
