“The staff was professional. The wait was short to be examined. The staff were knowledgeable and pleasant and helpful. Dr Burns answered my questions and provided the information I needed to make a decision about having cataract surgery. I am glad that a friend recommended Dr Burns to me. In July, Dr Burns performed cataract surgery on both of my eyes. My left eye was done on July 5 and the right eye 2 weeks later. I am amazed at the improvement in my vision. It was like I had a yellow film removed from my eyes. Everything is brighter and more colorful. I can see stars in the sky! I am thrilled. I got the basic medicare lenses so my distance vision is perfect and I need reading glasses for reading books and small print. I knew that would be the result. Medicare doesn't cover the costs of the special lens to make my near vision, 20-20. The special lenses cost an additional $4000 for both eyes. I am fine using reading glasses and not paying the $4K for the special lenses. The procedure for both eyes went smoothly with zero pain and zero discomfort. The staff at the Dupont Surgery were wonderful. I arrived at 6:15 am and was done and ready to go home 8:15 am. Dr Burns called me that evening to check on how I was doing and had a follow up appointment with him the next day. I couldn't be happier with Dr Burns and his staff as well as the results of the cataract surgery! I highly recommend Dr. Burns and Middletown Eye Care!!!”

Any questions that I had/have, he answers clearly and does not use intense medical terminology that I do not understand, since I do not come from a medical background. His office is great to work with. All of his nurses, but one in particular in his Stonestreet location (I’m so upset that I can’t remember her name right now) is so very kind and empathetic. My injury was a Workers comp injury and his office staff was easy to contact and I didn’t have to jump through hoops in order to speak with the office. I pray that I don’t break anymore bones, but if the unfortunate happens again, I will know who to go to.”
