(July 29, 2023, 1:06 pm)Great spot! The Dixie breakfast, pancakes, chicken biscuit, burgers, and sandwiches all come highly recommended. Nice back deck and front porch seating. It's super cute and historic in Keene. Also, it's a lovely drive around the area with some of the most beautiful horse farms and properties there are!

(May 15, 2023, 11:36 pm)This little restaurant is the absolute best! I love the Irish atmosphere here!! They have imported Irish candies and coffee and teas ect.... It's a little taste of home for us!! The service,food, feeling, location,and people are amazing!! I hope this spot is open for many years to come.. Everyone should be fortunate enough to experience the feel,energy,and food here!! Please visit!! I promise you will not regret it!
(December 4, 2021, 1:13 pm)Anytime I have to take my hubby to work I stop in for breakfast. It is always hot, cheap and fast. You get a really good portion too. I have never been there where it wasn't super clean either.
(August 2, 2021, 7:49 pm)We were in Nicholasville and looking for a local place to have lunch. Dixie Cafe is just a few miles from Nicholasville and near the intersection of Keene Rd and Harrodsburg Rd in Jessamine County. This place is amazing! Everything on the menu looked great. We asked some of the locals what was good and all of them said that their breakfast was amazing as well as their lunch items. For me, it was a tough decision between the 1/3 pound burger or the daily special which was the chili dog, fries and a drink. I had the chili dog and it was delicious. Great chili on the dog and the fries were good and crispy. We will definitely return here again and again when we are in the area.
A short trip off the main road in Keene, but definitely worth the drive!
