St. Elizabeth Edgewood Hospital: Emergency Room

The er check in crew were super nice. The er is never a pleasant trip, but they did a great job of keeping it a pleasant experience.

We had to visit the emergency room yesterday (during the height of the Omicron outbreak) due to a fall that I had at home. (I have Parkinsons and fell down some stairs and had a deep puncture wound to my thigh) To make things worse, my wife and I had tested positive for Covid 5 days ago. They immediately isolated us in a room adjoining the ER and triaged us and let us know it would take some time due to the overcrowding. Carrie was our nurse and she did a wonderful job keeping us informed and as comfortable as possible during the visit. Thanks Carrie (and the ER doc who treated me who’s name I can’t remember) for showing professionalism and caring during a tough situation. Take care of yourselves.

Don’t know why there were bad reviews. Dr. Bracken treated for severe shoulder pain after a fall while I was in Kentucky visiting a friend. Took X-rays. He was wonderful. Sandy Renken came to me later to see if I needed anything. She was sweet!! They gave me a disc of my X-rays to bring to my doctor at home. I recommend them highly!
