The Terrace Nursing & Rehabilitation Facility

My mother was a long-term resident at The Terrace. We were very pleased with the staff and her care. When it came time for my father to get the same care, my siblings and I definitely wanted him at The Terrace. We are again very pleased!

I don’t work for the Terrace. In fact, I am a nursing home administrator employed by a competing organization. With that being said, I hate to read all the negative comments in regards to staffing and I would like to shed some light. ALL NURSING FACILITIES ARE UNDERSTAFFED ON A NATIONWIDE SCALE. Why? For one…COVID. More importantly, Medicare cut our reimbursement rates and because of that, we would go bankrupt paying our staff what we know they’re worth. Nursing home work is extremely demanding. Who wants to answer the call of patient care when they can go to Walmart making the same, if not more money? Please direct your frustrations toward the federal government who in recent years, have dramatically underfunded us. Speaking for most nursing facilities, we love your family members. We strive to provide services that enrich their lives, maintain their independence and address their medical needs. It grieves us to to hear of your dissatisfaction. Try to remember that it’s the dramatic cuts in federal & state reimbursement that has limited what we can offer our staff compared to competitive employers. Direct your complaints to the Centers of Medicare & Medicare services who decided that nursing home care was too expensive. If we can’t compete with inflation, we can’t recruit quality employees. We are experiencing the same woes of every other industry. No one wants to work. Petition your state representatives. We need reform to care for your loved ones in a way we KNOW they deserve!

I have worked at The Terrace since day one of opening. I have the experience of working in other facilities and I know The Terrace is one of the cleanest I have been in. The housekeepers are wonderful people and do their job with pride. I know almost every staff member loves the residents as if they are their own family. I speak for myself to say I care for our family of residents and treat them how I would want my family treated. We have a great Administrator who has done an amazing job, in what short time she has been here.
