Washington Visitor's Center

I absolutely love this little town. I've wanted to see Old Washington for some time. This is what a town should look like. I could easily retire here.

A great place to visit and enjoy early Kentucky history. Wonderful architecture.

Love this Revolutionary War Era village. The Visitors Center was well put together and the host was well informed. I wish the City cared more about the appearance of Old Main St in the Old Washington section of Maysville, though. Individuals own and live in the 18th century homes along the ancient street, but only a few only a few care to fix up their homes and surroundings or even pick up the garbage out of their front yards. A very valuable piece of American History still exists in this small section of Kentucky. It is a historical gemstone to be protected, however, it doesn't seem that the local residents care about it enough to even weedeat or sweep their front yards or clean the original flagstone sidewalk that has been in existence for over 200 years!

Phil did an awesome job of providing a history lesson of Washington and a tour of the buildings. You can tell he enjoys passing on the area legacy. Highly recommended!

The lady at the museum was very welcoming and helpful. The 10 minute video gave a good overview of the town. A good place to start.
