(September 21, 2019, 6:20 pm)Well, my boat sank July 25, 2019. They were amazing and humanitarian. They were with me thru the whole ordeal by phone. They arranged the recovery with Sea Tow, paid the bill directly, walked me thru the claims process. Paid me what I was insured for, no ifs ands or buts. I have purchased another boat and insured it thru them without any problems. I would never consider another insurance company after they proved their dedication to me.

(August 26, 2019, 4:13 pm)Ive been with United Marine Underwriters since 2016 when I bought my boat. Becky was very helpful in working with me in setting up the policy. She readily agreed to insure the boat for what I paid for it.: $40,000. In transporting the boat down the Chesapeake Bay, I experienced engine failure due to Exhaust filling the motor bay and shutting down both motors. I did not know the cause at the time. I had to get a tow and it cost nearly $700. Embarrased, I submitted a claim before the ink was dry on the policy. Becky accepted my claim and issued a check promptly. My only minor complaint is my premiums have gone up approximately 25% over three years. But I'm still ahead and the premium is still competitive with other providers. I'm staying with UMU.
