Renfro Valley KOA Holiday

On our way to the Big Go 2023 and stopped here as a half way point. We are a "big rig" and it was raining when we got here. The road in is narrow, but most are to campgrounds. The drive in was perfectly fine. Found our site with ease and pulled on. The campground is clean and quaint! There is a ton to do here and there is so much greenery for our furrkid!

My wife booked us into this campground by mistake. We traveled from Pittsburgh to Kentucky to visit the Ark Encounter. This campground was 1.5 hours South / past the attraction. There were plenty of other campgrounds much closer than this one.

As it turned out, this campground worked out fine. Clean, well laid out, well staffed and very friendly are the best ways to describe it. The store was well stocked ( minus fridge Magnets ) and the pool was a comfy 81 degrees warm. The restrooms and showers were well lit and clean.

We appreciated the Sunday breakfast of pancakes & bacon for $4.

Relatively quaint campground on a beautiful setting that’s very family friendly! Our kids had a blast on the playground, jumping pillow, and at the pool. They also enjoyed watching a movie on the big screen in the barn while eating freshly popped popcorn and sipping on apple juice from the camp store! One of the employees, Robert, was so friendly and caring and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. He helped change our site upon arrival to get our kids closer to the playground, he retrieved a shop vac when we had an accident that needed to be cleaned up, he delivered our firewood, and even delivered our s’mores ingredients one night because he saw how busy we were with our kids. Thanks for such a wonderful camping experience!

The park is okay. Our site was good, mostly level, gravel drive and neighbors aren't too close together. They have a dog park but it was muddy and our dogs came back a mess. We took our dogs to a local dog park the other days we were here.
The roads in and out of the park are steep but they are manageable. Water pressure is pretty bad - the worse we've experienced on our 3 month trip. The restrooms were clean. We didn't make use of the laundry room. They have cable but the reception isn't great.
