Excellent quality and very friendly.
We began being a part of the CSA program this summer. My family has discovered a whole new way of sustaining a healthy way to eat. We thoroughly enjoy the variety of vegetables and meats offered. I also believe my grocery bill has significantly changed. We love it ! Thank you for giving our community a healthy lifestyle alternative! #buylocal #foodfromafarmerrocks!
I first met the folks at Elmwood down at the Lexington Farmers' Market in the early 2000's, back when the market wrapped around Vine St., South Limestone, and South Upper. Their vegetables and meats are top quality organic foods. Mac and Ann's friendly welcome kept me coming back to their tent. A few years later I became a beginning farmer, raising chickens and vegetables for sale through a CSA and to restaurants. I sought the knowledge of a lot of farmers, many of whom were helpful, but few went to the lengths that Mac did to meet with me, invite me out to the farm to share their best practices, check in on me, and encourage me in the hard work of growing food for communities. There was no protectionism, only partnership as they were glad to see the movement growing. Later when I worked for a non-profit focused on food access, the folks at Elmwood gladly made our work more possible because they believe keenly that people have a right to fresh, healthy, local, organic food that is grown with regenerative farming practices. This farm is top-notch!

Elmwood Stock Farm is a wonderful CSA. All of the folks who work there care deeply about what they do and are never really satisfied when it comes to making customers happy. I love the customer service, love knowing my farmers and, most important, love the wholesome organic food. I've been involved in farming and know something about how difficult it is to do what they do. I'm amazed at what they've accomplished over the years. Central Kentuckians are lucky to have them.
