Had to update my review! I can't find all the words to express how incredibly wonderful Jeanine, Kelly and the team at Waggs to Whiskers are! We took a week vacation to Paris and even with the time difference they kept us updated on our 2 spoiled boys daily! We are beyond thrilled with the play time, loving and care Jeanine gave them. If I could I'd give them more than 5 stars! Thank you again Waggs 2 Whiskers! See you next time!
Kelly and Susan from Waggs 2 Whiskers did an awesome job caring for our little dogs while we were away. They think of every detail, and I cannot recommend them enough! They even troubleshoot when there is unexpected problems or behaviors. So pleased at their tender care and thoughtfulness. Highly recommend!
We’re so happy we found Kelly and her team! They’ve really made it to where we could feel comfortable traveling knowing our dogs were taken care of while we’re away. They’re the absolute best giving us daily updates too. Honestly the best people to have watching your pets while away.
We have two boxers, Fiona and Emmett. They have always been able to be watched at home by friends or family, but no one was available for a wedding we attended in May. So we contacted Waggs 2 Whiskers. Kelly and Tara both came by for the meet & greet. The online portal is excellent and provides the opportunity to include every detail about your pets, but Kelly and Tara also asked great questions in person and took thorough notes. We felt confident we had made the right choice in trusting Kelly and Tara to stay with our dogs at night and check on them during the day.
We arranged for Kelly to stop for the daytime visit before we left on Thursday. The dogs immediately recognized her and seemed very comfortable. It had been a few weeks since our meet and greet, so I was impressed when Kelly remembered the location of a second water bowl (that I had actually removed).
Our neighbor was also stopping in to check on the dogs during the day. On Friday, our neighbor let us know that Emmett was limping. We checked our camera and could see he was favoring his back leg and holding it up while he stood. Kelly checked it and sent photos during her visit that day. We decided we would continue to monitor it. Tara also sent photos and updates when she arrived for the overnight stay.
Early Saturday morning, I received a message that Kelly and Tara thought Emmett needed to be seen by a vet. They provided additional photos and offered to take him. The vet was completely booked that day. They said they could fit Emmett in, but it would likely be a long wait. Kelly and Tara were absolutely ready to take him and spend the time waiting for him to be seen. But then our vet suggested we email them a photo to see if they could treat him without needing to bring him in. Based on the excellent photo provided by Kelly and Tara, the vet diagnosed the issue as a cyst and prescribed some medications for pickup. Kelly picked up the medicine from the vet, which is not a close drive for her, and met Tara at our house to treat Emmett. This was completely outside of their scheduled visits and they both showed up to assist. Emmett needed to wear a cone, which he had never done. I was very worried that he would not do well with the cone. Kelly and Tara took the time to gently coax him into wearing it and made sure he was as comfortable as possible. Tara even hand fed him later that night and the next morning to make sure he was eating.
Kelly had us check in with them once we were home. Emmett’s foot had healed enough that we could remove the cone. The dogs were both very happy.
I can’t thank Kelly and Tara enough for their care and attention. I was definitely worried when we found out something was wrong, but I felt that Emmett was in the best hands possible. I probably felt more comfortable knowing that Kelly and Tara were there to handle the situation than I would have been if friends or family were watching the dogs. They have the experience and knowledge to provide the BEST care for your pets. Which is invaluable if something were to actually go wrong.
I would recommend Waggs 2 Whiskers to anyone looking for a pet sitter. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would.
Why we LOVE Waggs 2 Whiskers...
- Our 2 large dogs prefer their own home over a kennel
- The staff is EXTREMELY dependable and trustworthy, with backups for emergencies
- They bring in our packages and mail
- Our dogs are NOT great on a leash and the staff is so patient and still give them their walk 3 TIMES a day!
- We get pictures and detailed updates EVERY visit - the pictures are the best
- We have had to travel last minute and they go out of their way to fit us in
- They even got our dogs Christmas presents and cards
HIGHLY SUGGEST!
