Midway Christian Church

I started going to MCC because of Heather. She is a wonderful person and a great pastor. I love the congregation and services.

My wife and I have been grateful to have found this church years ago and have made it our home. One of the first things I noticed about the church during my first visit was the open arm welcome we received from many in the congregation. It is a great place if you long for a sense of community and feeling connected to people. Oh and the food for the community dinners is wonderful!

My own faith journey has been enriched, led and inspired by Minister Heather McCall and this amazing congregation. I am grateful to call this place my spiritual home, and the door is always open.

Our family was drawn to MCC because of it’s small, inviting congregation that had such a large presence in the community. It really helped us feel connected to our neighbors and find that sense of belonging in the community. Our first experience with MCC was at the monthly FREE community dinner. I assumed it would be a recruiting tactic and a way to get donations, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that they would not accept donations at the dinner. This made it much more inviting to all of the community members because it was truly free and there was no pressure to join the church. This concept supports the Disciples of Christ motto that everyone is welcome at the table.

Since we joined the church, we continue to feel blessed that we found a church that is open minded and welcoming to everyone. We love our minister, Heather, and we are grateful for all of the other devoted leaders in the church that keep us modern and progressive. I am a member of the choir, and we have an awesome group of talented folks and an excellent director who we are lucky to have. Our kids are given opportunities to be involved in the services. The church as a whole is so supportive of each other in good times and bad, and we take the time to talk about those praises and prayer needs during each service.
