Our four night stay in the Carriage House at the Scottwood Bed & Breakfast was beyond our expectations! The owners, Tim and Annette, are welcoming, gracious and a delight! They truly do treat you like family! They went out of their way to ensure we felt cared for and we appreciated their warmth and friendly conversations in addition to the true southern hospitality.
We stayed in the Carriage House at the Scottwood Bed & Breakfast for four nights in October. The owners, Tim and Annette, are very gracious and welcoming and serve a large divine breakfast each morning. The Carriage House was spacious and comfortable and very nicely decorated. The location is ideal - easy access to Lexington, Midway, Versailles, Frankfort and sites such as Keeneland Race Track, the beautiful surrounding horse farms, numerous distilleries, etc. The grounds are lovely with the tranquil South Elkhorn Creek bordering the back of the property. If you are looking for lightning fast WiFi with tons of outlets for all of your electronic gadgets, go stay at a large chain hotel. If, however, you are looking for a peaceful setting with wonderful hosts in an historic home - this is the place you need to stay!
Tim and Annette are our most favorite people in the world. And the Scott Wood bed and breakfast is a historical monument. We highly recommend not only the accommodations but the chance to meet two wonderful people.
The Period setting atmosphere was just fabulous! What a wonderful way to spend our weekend with our at a clinic that was going on right next door. Then to make the stay even better we were pampered with home made breakfasts. Our hosts Tim and Arnette made a wonderful snack box that was big enough to be our lunch. Really loved everything here.
Beginning in April 2020, we celebrate Twenty one years welcoming guests to our historic home.
