All the mechanics were sent to school and required to pass written tests. All of them with tons of experience. Being human they may make an error here and there. But the fact they are a local business with better tire and repair prices then anyone around. The work done on my vehicle was top notch. They didnt try to upsell anything. “We have been using Anderson Automotive for several years now. Tom does excellent work in a timely and professional manner. Its difficult to find an honest mechanic that you can trust. There have been times when he could have charged us but didn't for things he worked on and dedicated his time to. I wouldn't trust anyone but him. His prices are very reasonable and his work is dependable. We have several cars,boat and RVs and he has worked in all of them. I have taken even newer cars to him before I'd take it to a dealer. We are so happy we have found a reliable mechanic and truly nice guy. There are a lot of dishonest mechanics in Lawrenceburg that will take your money and run. We've had one that we even thought about suing because he stole our money and didn't fix the vehicle. Don't take chances. Stay with Tom and Anderson Automotive. He's the best around.”

“I was In Louisville from Ga. driving a 07 Honda Pilot that had developed a severe gas leak. I stopped at the first place I passed, it being Thoroughbred Automotive. I didn’t ask the man his name but wish I had. We both thought it was a gas line. I asked if he could fix it quick. He said not quick but tomorrow. The next day he called around lunch and said something had punctured my tank and since Pilots had plastic tanks it would have to be replaced instead of repaired and he had a used one on the way. I had just filled up before the leak and he had put a pan under it to catch my gas. At 5:15 pm that evening he called and said it was done. I showed up to get it and there laid my old tank so I could see the damage. He strained the leaked gas, saving it, drained the other tank and even took my vehicle to the gas station and topped it off for me. This man is quick, very honest and was very much a pleasure to meet and work with. I was skeptical about pricing me being from out of town and more or less an emergency case but he was very reasonably priced. I am very happy with the work and his honesty. Thoroughbred Automotive and the owner are both gems. Highly recommended by me, I only wish he was in my hometown. 💎I’ve read other reviews that say the guy is cranky over the phone but he’s very busy and as far as I am aware he answers his own phone so I completely understand I can deal with cranky much better than someone nice that rips me off.”
