“Set in a storefront with black walls, colored lights, and plenty of tech this non-denominational protestant church reminds one more of a small rock concert hall than the traditional steepled and stained glass church. The belief system is the standard evangelical view equivalent to Baptists, Pentecostals, and the like. The praise and worship usually includes full band and uses primarily contemporary Christian rock. The missions and ministries have some traditional such as sponsored children in the south pacific and nontraditional outreach programs like a well done website. The dress is casual, even the pastor wears jeans every week, and I don’t think I have seen a single man wearing a suit or a giant church lady hat. The congregation is diverse and generally younger than the average senior citizen congregation you find in most churches. This church expects its members to be involved in the community. One often hears the pastor implore the congregation to not just sit there on but to get involved. The thing that stands out more than all the rest is the pastor. Bobby Duncan is the best preacher I have heard in Cynthiana. His preaching style is like sitting in the audience of a Jeff Foxworthy concert, complete with the Texas accent. His messages are relevant, interesting, and his delivery is conversational and compelling.”
