(October 8, 2022, 4:29 pm)This was my first time at Philay's and everything was absolutely amazing! I had a shrimp and lima bean baked potato that was so creamy and delicious. My friend had shrimp alfredo with a side of mashed sweet potatoes. She said she never had a meal she enjoyed so much. She had been there before a long time ago and said that the food was "definitely better on a whole new level". (her words) Our server, Julienne, was sweet, attentive, helpful and knowledgeable. I could see that she was that way with her other tables as well. I will definitely be back soon and often, and will tell others about it! (Sorry the picture isn't better! Didn't take it till I had mixed it all up! I promise it was presented beautifully!)
(June 25, 2022, 4:54 pm)Good food, good service and nice restaurant. Catfish was thin cut and well seasoned. Bread pudding and rum sauce tasty. Plenty of parking.
(March 28, 2022, 5:16 pm)Great food. Ivy special was blacken catfish with crawfish étouffée. Fried green beans were also good. 8 of us and we all rated a 9 out of 10. We brought our own wine…10$ corking fee. 18% tip auto added. Lots of parking. Great service with a smile. A must stop in In Gonzales…right on hwy 61. Sorry for the bad pic. I usually takes pics but food so great I forgot to. This is a pic of a pic.
(October 15, 2021, 12:58 am)Food was excellent! The tarter sauce was one of a kind for sure. The inside is just as nice as the outside. The staff was friendly and helpful in choosing dishes. We are from California and we were looking for something authentic.
