My first visit to this great little park was overwhelmingly positive.
It was a Saturday morning and it appears to be a fairly popular place at around 10am.
Nice park, small parking for a park this size. Too many people go there because of the new kids games that were installed.
This park was just redone and they did a fantastic job! Plenty for the littles to do as there is for big kids. As always... wish there was more shade... Especially this summer🥵. But there are lots of areas with trees on the edges of the park. Still has the tennis courts and exercise path/loop.
Great place to check out some huge trees. Got a large sidewalk round about for walking or jogging, and a small covered pavilion for anything else you might need. Also a small kids park with monkey bars and a slide. No swings though
Lovely park for walking, letting the kids play, relaxing, or getting in a workout.
Plenty of open green area to play frisbee golf, have a picnic, or just let the kids run.
There is a nice long walking path with exercise stops, tennis courts, and exercise equipment. The kids have two playgrounds. One for smaller children and another for kids a bit bigger.
Lovely shaded areas have benches for taking a break or just enjoying the day.
There is a structure that seems to be purely esthetic. The angled brick walls make for a nice photo backdrop.
There is also a tiny library where you can borrow a book.
The road to the park dead ends at a school, so getting in and out during the school year, should be timed accordingly.
This is Louisiana, so be mindful of insects. The grounds crew seems to try to keep it under control, but ants and other busy creatures will always fight for the territory. Just be aware and check the playground before letting little ones play and watch where you lay out that blanket or picnic.
And please utilize the garbage cans available.
