The Stockade Bed and Breakfast

Wonderful place to spend some relaxing time! Great home, comfortable bedrooms and delicious breakfast! Customer service was perfect! Perfect location and price competitive! Check it out!

We were greeted and welcomed warmly. We had an amazing stay at a gorgeous place. You will not regret coming here. The breakfast was so good and worth the trip!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Stockade. The house is beautifully restored, our room (Garden View) was spacious, quiet and comfortable, with one of the best bathrooms and showers we have seen in a Bed & breakfast. Breakfast was very nice traditional fare. The only reason why I gave 4 stars and not 5 (can't give any half stars...) is due to the location. There is nothing of interest in the immediate surroundings you can walk to. We tried to stretch our legs a bit after a long drive and had to take our lives into our own hands walking along the busy road that lines one side of the property. We later found a walkable neighborhood tucked back in the other direction, but this is not the place to stay to visit downtown Baton Rouge unless you want to hop into your car and drive. There are also very few decent restaurants within walking distance. One of the best features of this place is the back patio tucked amongst old trees where we enjoyed a complimentary glass of wine!

This nostalgic little B&B in Baton Rouge was quite the treasure! Tucked just off the road and backed up to the water, it was the perfect blend of cozy and peaceful. The owner, Janice, was exceptionally delightful and passionate about her Inn. The walls and decor housed within, are rich in her history both as an artist and art dealer. Every nook and cranny seemed to whisper its secrets and tell it’s stories. Both the gardens out back and the balcony off the blue room (where we stayed) were wonderful spots for peaceful reflection. Whether your looking for a venue or just a quiet getaway, I encourage you to check this little inn out....it’s quite a gem. I won’t tell you what we left with, why spoil a good story, but you’ll not soon forget your stay there!! PS: get a romance package—-whether you need one or not—-you’ll be glad you did!

This was an absolute beautiful place! We had our small wedding here and Janice's communication was excellent, everything was perfect. We had breakfast in our room the next morning, and it was amazing. Even though this facility is in a semi busy area, it feels like you are away from town,, and it is so peaceful.You don't get anything like this at the hotel chains! Definitely will return for our Anniversary! Thank you Janice for making our wedding day so memorable!
