The tables are all pretty close together but for good reason. This place is always packed. The food is so good and the servers are all very friendly. Be warned the parking is tight. They've maximized the most that they can but you might have to park on the street a block or two away. Still worth it
My 1st time here & it was a lovely experience. I love the authentic old school vibes here. No annoying music in the background. No TV in the restaurant which was awesome. It’s like you go there to eat & enjoy whoever’s company you are with on a personal level. Not many places like that still exist. The staff was professional & helpful. I recommend the Spaghetti & Meatballs or the Roast Beef Sandwich, you can’t go wrong with either. I got there around 5:30 pm it was about 20% full, but around 6:30 pm the place was packed inside.
I had the chips (so delicious) and the fried ravioli. 12/10. That fried ravioli was out of this world. My friends had a muffaletta and blackened shrimp Alfredo and both loved their dishes. The restaurant was really busy when we were there, so drink refills were a little slow. The food was prompt though. I do recommend this place, and definitely suggest that fried ravioli.
We stopped for a day in Metairie on our way back from a Gulf Shores trip. We ate dinner here and I just cannot think of any Italian restaurant that I have ever eaten at that tested this good. I know that you're probably thinking, "yeah but all American Italian restaurants pretty much taste the same". Not this one. I got the meal that it is chicken parm & eggplant parm for when you can't choose which parm you want. It was so freaking delicious. Even my side salad was amazing and they make all their own dressings! I got honey mustard & it was fantastic. All of the other meals we got were super delicious and everyone was more than satisfied, which is rare. The staff was incredibly friendly. Even their iced tea was really good. I know that sounds silly, but we just thought everything was so great. I wish I didnt live so far away so I could eat here every week. Definitely will be back when we come to Metairie again. 😊
This was our first time visiting the restaurant. Let me first say, It's a lot smaller than I expected. However, it provides a more intimate setting. The portions are amazing and the flavors are on point. I ordered the Cheese and Gravy Fries and the Calamari. I'm a sucker for calamari so every time I visit an Italian restaurant, I have to try their calamari. I like to base an Italian restaurant off of their Calamari, Caesar dressing, Veal and of course Marinara sauce! I don't eat spaghetti 🤷🏽♀️
For the entrees, my youngest son had the kids portion of the Shrimp and Fries. My oldest son had the Shrimp Etouffee which was very impressive. For an Italian restaurant they hit the nail on the head. The gravy was delicious. The rice to gravy ratio was just right. I was really indecisive from what I wanted to order because everything sounded so well on the menu until I saw the Bacon Shrimp and Avocado Salad. Goodness, the shrimp were huge and well seasoned. I couldn't decide if I wanted the Caesar or the vinaigrette dressing so I opted for both. They make their own croutons and Caesar dressing and as I will tell you, absolutely delicious.
Our server, Chris was impressive. He was well attentive and knew the menu very well. He made sure that our drinks were filled, our table was always cleared and definitely interacted with my youngest. I found his service to be exceptional. I highly recommend him and when we return, I will ask for him.
Prices are fair and the kitchen was fast.
Overall, if they were more stars they would receive it!!
Oh, and their meatballs are HUGE and PLUMP as my son would tell ya!
