What is there to say? It's convenient, clean, and secure. They even have a vending machine that sells disk locks if you don't already have a lock. Very reasonably priced too. I got a 10x10 climate controlled for $108 a month.
Easy to rent. Clean. Gate Code instruction are a little bit unclear. Kinda of trial and error. Facility is nice & clean. Latch in garage door needs to be aligned. Difficult to lock. My wife is not strong enough to lock it, so She can't come without someone to lock it for her. Ither than that, its a good storage
I felt like the price was pretty reasonable even though paying for anyone 13-17 as an adult is kind of bugged out. The rides definitely need to be expanded and updated as do the enclosures of several animals. The animals looked well taken care of and seemed happy but like they could use more space. My kids especially loved the otter who was super interactive with them, the pygmy hippo which we didn't know they had and baby monkeys. There was a cheetah paired with a dog and their story was looped on a video. The big cats were pacing a lot so I'm not sure if they were aggravated or something. I think it was really cool how you could feed a bunch of animals including parakeets in a big enclosure. The staff we interacted with was very kind and helpful. Another thing we thought was interesting were several animals paired up instead of being alone. My kids liked the idea that they would not be lonely and it felt like this would be more natural to them.
I have had several units with this facility for several years now. Great place. Joey is a great guy and does an awesome job keeping up with things over there. He is just so nice. Made me feel like a VIP customer. I’m impressed. Joey, keep it up! Thank you
It's a great place to take the family. Food isn't overpriced and the staff is really friendly. There's no attempt at social distancing other than a few signs posted and some animal footprints that everyone (guests) ignores. They do have a lot of interesting animals though and even some rides for the kids.
Loved the zoo! My kiddo had the best time. Glad we bought a membership. A couple issues we had were the bathrooms could use updating and more cleaning. With the amount of guests, dedicated bathroom attendants are needed. Also, the food we bought at the stand near the sky lift was awful. The hot dog was barely cooked and the bun was so hard. We definitely won't buy food there again. Two hot dogs combos was about $15.
My 18-year old daughter and I absolutely love the Metro Richmond Zoo! They have a large variety of animals that always appear healthy and well-fed. There are often upgrades and new features being added, like the amazing new otter habitat. The zoo itself is clean, including the bathrooms. We have eaten several times, and the food is actually quite good and reasonably priced. Be sure to check out the train ride and the budgie pen, as well! Our season passes have been totally worth the money, and we have been able to bring guests for a reduced rate for admission, rides, and the gift shop. Don't forget to buy cups of food and budgie sticks to feed the animals!
The first day of Spring was the perfect time to take a trip with the kids. The Metro Richmond Zoo had plenty of animals out during different times of the day. The bears, big cats and such were out but laying in sunny spots to keep warm. Later in the day we went back by them and they were active. I definitely recommend spending the $4 per person to ride the sky lift. Kids under 2 are free and my 1 year old LOVED it.
