“This was a perfect location for our out of town guests. The entire villa is completely renovated and more beautiful than most custom homes. The owners wasted no expense on this place. Right on the golf course, and walking distance to pool, gym, restaurant, bar and clubhouse. It is close to the river so it was easy to go enjoy boating and close to town. The owner was great to work with as well. It was extremely clean and my guests felt like luxury in a home away from home. Extremely convenient to town and just a short distance away from New Orleans and Baton Rouge. Would strongly recommend using this specific location for any wedding, golf tournaments, or out of town guests looking to stay in Springfield or visit Carter plantation area.”

Carter has always been such a special place for me and my husband, and we knew it would be the perfect place for our wedding, but we didn’t know that it would end up being everything we had dreamed and so much more!!! The event team at Carter gave everything to make sure our night was perfect. Lauren was an angel sent from above and went above and beyond to meet my every need! From always being there to manage and tend to our large family and wedding party to making sure every detail of my wedding vision come to life even better than I’d planned, or even racing over to my villa to bring me a comb for a hair malfunction right before pictures🥹, she was such a blessing and pleasure to work with! Coming from someone who used to coordinate weddings, my expectations were high and she far exceeded them!! Danielle, Nicole, and Victoria did an amazing job as well! They truly made an impression on all of our friends and family and helped make our experience one they will all be talking about for ages!! Danielle consistently made sure me and my husband and our families were taken care of and always had a drink or whatever we needed. There is no better team to trust with such an important event!!! The entire weekend was flawless! We had our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner Friday night, a round of golf for the guys Saturday morning, wedding Saturday night, and brunch Sunday! It made everything so easy to have our family and wedding party stay in the villas for the weekend so we didn’t have to go anywhere from Friday afternoon until Sunday morning! Not having to worry about travel in the midst of all that craziness is a lifesaver! We got married in the atrium and had our reception in the ballroom and everything was absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! I can’t say it enough; our wedding at Carter Plantation was a DREAM COME TRUE! The best staff, the best food, the best venue, the best value—I mean seriously, none compare!!!!”

“I had recently conceded to the fact that I just didn't like King Cake any longer. Being born and raised in Louisiana, that is almost a sin! Well thank goodness Navarre's has saved this almost sinner, lol. This was THE BEST KING CAKE I have EVER had!! We got the Strawberry Cream Cheese and man oh man!!! The dough was moist and buttery. No dry leathery stuff going on here!! The filling was nicely proportioned and spread throughout the layers and the icing was creamy cream cheesy with the perfect amount of sweetness. We will be going back to try the Blueberry Cream Cheese and the Bavarian Cream. They are rolling these out all day during the season and we are hooked!!”
