Looking for the real deal? Look no further! I had the lunch special-crawfish etouffee with fried catfish on the side. The etouffee was served over slightly sticky rice (think Chinese rice ball stickiness). The seasoning was perfect, catfish perfectly fried, crawfish plentiful! Everyone was friendly and staff was attentive. What more could you ask for??

I loved their seafood baked potato! Fast, friendly service. Can't wait to come back and try something else!

Thompson's Kitchen is the best Restaurant on the Westbank of the Mississippi River.

We never pass up the place when we come home from fishing.

Small place , ice cold beer, they have really good deep-fried foods that are crispy crunchy and not greasy or soggy at all. The staff is nice and attentive, but they were apparently overwhelmed with customers and not enough employees. The prices are also very reasonable, surprisingly, since most places have hiked things to the point of gouging us construction hands all over this area. I appreciate that integrity. Definitely will be back again.

After checking out Fort Jackson we stopped here for lunch.
This place was clean, the staff was friendly, and the food was great. If you're in the area give them a try, definitely a local spot where everyone knows each other.
Husband had the combo po'boy 1/2 oysters and other 1/2 shrimp 🍤 he enjoyed it. I had fried catfish and that too was very good,
