Uncle Dale's Produce

Uncle Dale's has a nice display area. We wanted green peanuts to take back to South Dakota with us to boil. The bags were in a refrigerator case,, and we were told to keep them in the air conditioning so they wouldn't spoil. I bought cracklin's, $8 for a quart bag, because I have not had any in yeeeeeaaars. I bought a $7.00 bowl of okra instead of a $8.00 jar just because I think I will can my own and have a few jars.

The stand had watermelons, peaches, and many other items. Unfortunately, I knew if the okra were put in a plastic bag, they would sweat. Sure enough, I checked this morning and had to ask our hostess for paper bags in which to put the okra; I would have preferred to have them come in a bag.

I like to run over to buy tomatoes, watermelon, fruit, etc. quite often. I want them to expand! I think their business could carry local crafter's items, and attract lots of travelers off of I-12 to buy local pepper jelly varieties and salsas, peanuts, all kinds Louisiana made in Louisiana 😊

Great fresh produce at reasonable prices. Sad that they didnt have any more of the wonderful peaches they had the week before but got really good pears and tomatoes this time.

I stopped by to purchase some tomatoes and Bell peppers and I asked if he would hold them for me because I had some running to do and didn't want it to stay in my hot car....Super nice, and I passed back around 5pm to pickup the produce....Thanks so very much!!
